2022 Taipei AMPA physical exhibition successfully completed, supporting enterprises who implement ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) to capture more business opportunities

2022 Taipei AMPA series - Taipei International Automobile & Motorcycle Parts & Accessories Show (Taipei AMPA) and Taipei International Automobile Electronics Show (Autotronics Taipei), the four-day physical exhibition, ended today (23). The shows attracted visitors from the automobile and motorcycle parts and accessories, electronics, and communication industries. Financial and venture capitalists came to explore investment targets, while hotel and construction companies also visited the shows, which also helped the ESG-implementing companies obtain more business opportunities.

TAITRA said that 560 exhibitors used 1,300 booths in this year’s physical exhibition presented in a hybrid method, continuing to reflect the trend of the auto parts industry by injecting the elements of “CASE - Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric.” An intelligent products demonstration was also included. Jet Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. presented a variety of rear-seat, in-car entertainment systems for export to Europe and the U.S., focusing on high-definition and large touch screens; Chroma ATE Inc. exhibited a series of electric vehicle testing systems with various MIT systems to meet the needs of different customers of electric vehicle parts.

At the same time, Taiwan Brake Technology Corp., a brake pads manufacturer, displayed its latest products in the auto parts area. Yang Min Enterprise displayed its race cars, which are equipped with their own, company made springs, presenting the diversity of the Taipei AMPA show.

The organizer had planned activities such as a live tour, theme guide, and new product launch and display, increasing the exposure of exhibitors’ products both at home and abroad, and greatly enhancing business opportunities. Through TAITRA, more than 60 overseas units worldwide invited overseas buyers to visit the show online, and successfully connected with 68 video procurement and consultation meetings. Through videotelephony marketing, exhibitors and foreign buyers can have interactive communication opportunities that break through the boundary restriction, winning the praise of exhibitors and expanding business opportunities.

The “International Forum on Connected Car and Electric Vehicle Trends” is one of the most anticipated events during the 2022 Taipei AMPA. The event invited representatives from NVIDIA, Delta Electronics, Taiwan Telematics Industry Association, and Taiwan Association of Green Energy Transition of information and communication and automotive electronics industry to share intelligent vehicles’ challenges and future development trends, the direction of vehicle electrification, the business opportunities of electric vehicle charging facilities, and how to connect with the practice. The event was filled with enthusiastic exchanges.

The “Celebrity Sharing” is a limited-edition event with the theme of electric vehicle. It features two market experts who shared their knowledge on electric vehicle test drives and maintenance. The “KOLs Show You The Trend” was divided into five themed tours, which provided participants with more in-depth industry information through professional settings and explanations, and were well received. TAITRA said that Taipei AMPA is an excellent platform for the industry to exchange ideas and provides participants with an understanding of international trends and market trends.

Two events worth mentioning are “AMPA JumpStart” and “AMPA ESG Achievement,” tied to innovation and sustainability concepts of global interest. AMPA JumpStart brought together start-up companies from Israel, Canada, China, and Taiwan to share trending technologies through videos, and successfully matched 10 procurement and consultation meetings.

The AMPA ESG Achievement is the first green mark of TAITRA to respond to global sustainable development issues. This year, the AMPA ESG Achievement was held for the first time by 16 exhibitors, and was well received. Zealio Electronics Co., Ltd. even mentioned that nowadays, international companies often require ESG-related clauses in their procurement agreements, and obtaining the AMPA ESG Achievement mark will be helpful in future negotiations.

The organizer expects that this kind of activity will help the companies who implement ESG get more business opportunities and encourage more companies to invest in ESG sustainability. Another highlight was the “AMR-AI-PJ-UVGI Robot” that kept touring the show floor during the exhibition period, thanks to a strategic cooperation between the organizer and Micro-Star International Co to provide a safe and secure exhibition environment.

AMPA DigitalGo, a new digital value-added marketing solution, was launched to help online exhibitors reach global buyers and visitors across borders. In addition to strengthening the international business matching, the exhibition successfully conducted nearly 50 procurement and consultation meetings through the TTS Match two-way matching platform. The exhibitors, Ysolar Co., Ltd. and Auto State Industrial Co., Ltd, said that the online exhibition had increased the opportunity to communicate with buyers and was able to match with foreign buyers on the platform. An Asian First! 2024 SWS Annual Meeting to be Held in Taipei

The 2024 Society of Wetland Scientists (SWS) Annual Meeting will be held at the Taipei International Convention Center from November 12–16, 2024, with the theme of Wetlands and Global Change: Mitigation and Adaptation.Professor Wei-Ta Fang, Distinguished Professor at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and Chair of the SWS Asia Chapter, noted that he and Filipino scholar Isidro Savillo established the SWS Asia Chapter in 2005, with Taiwan as a founding member country.As early as 2017, before the pandemic, SWS announced that the 2024 Annual Meeting would be held in Taipei, Taiwan. This is a highly significant event in the sustainability world. Professor Fang explained, "The 2024 SWS Annual Meeting being held in Asia for the first time, with Taipei specifically being chosen as the host city, marks a new era for the Society of Wetland Scientists in Asia. Both bringing wetland science and knowledge to countries worldwide and promoting global wetland conservation are core values of the SWS. This event further highlights Taiwan's key importance in the international wetland field."Professor Fang stated that a sustainable environment transcends the framework of geopolitical tensions, which is of heightened significance. The SWS Asia Chapter headquarters is located in Taipei, serving 18 Asian geographically disperse member nations. Wetland management expands beyond national borders and boundaries. Thus, it serves mankind’s global welfare regardless of race, religion, or politics. Taiwan is located on the central axis in East Asia, where a single move can affect the entire region. 2024 Taiwan International Water Week Showcases Water Resources Industry

The 2024 Taiwan International Water Week (TIWW), organized by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council), grandly opened at TWTC Exhibition Hall 1 in Taipei. This year, 100 companies are participating, using nearly 200 booths, resulting in a prime platform for the water resources industry to exhibit, procure, seek business opportunities, and find partners. The exhibition not only gathers together domestic benchmark enterprises, it also attracted enthusiastic participation of international companies from seven countries including France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Malaysia, demonstrating the vibrant development and strong momentum of future business opportunities in Taiwan's water resources industry.Simon Wang, President & CEO of TAITRA, expressed how the urgency of the global water shortage issue has not only drawn attention to water resource applications, it also brings light to the water resource crisis brought about by climate change. Recognizing it as a key factor in promoting global sustainable development, this year's TIWW focuses on two main themes: Sustainable Water and Smart Water, showcasing technological water production such as seawater desalination, reclaimed water, wastewater treatment, as well as innovative solutions like smart monitoring equipment and intelligent systems. In addition to organizing the Taiwan Water Industry Pavilion at the exhibition, the Water Resources Agency is holding an international forum at the Taipei International Convention Center, inviting over 50 domestic and foreign experts for in-depth discussions covering Taiwan's water resources industry development, technological innovation, and sustainable activities.This year's exhibition brings together upstream, midstream, and downstream industrial chains in water resources, with leading companies showcasing their best offerings and advances, from components and equipment to overall system planning, presenting the latest solutions in industrial water treatment, water resource management, water transport and storage, and end-point water purification.In addition to the rich array of water resource products and related solutions, various activities are being held during the exhibition, including 18 exhibitor presentations and three TIWW Tech Talks. These feature Veolia Water, the Water Resources Agency of Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the British Standards Institution (BSI) sharing on topics including wastewater biological treatment technology, carbon neutrality of hydraulic engineering, and international standard trends-ISO 46001 water efficiency management.
